Overview

Bluedot differentiates through bot-free recording via Chrome extension, desktop app, and mobile. It claims ~98% transcription accuracy across 100+ languages. Trusted by Netflix, NY Times, BCG, and Disney. The bot-free approach avoids the intrusive join notifications that plague most competitors.

Pricing

Ranges from $14–$32/member/month depending on tier. The free plan is limited to only 5 lifetime meetings — essentially a trial rather than a usable free tier.

Security & Data Residency

Data is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany and Ohio, US — offering dual data residency, which is a genuine advantage for European buyers. SOC 2 Type 1 is completed, with Type 2 still in audit. No ISO 27001.

Key Limitations

Cloud-dependent. No offline transcription — everything must be processed through Bluedot's cloud infrastructure.

Originally Google Meet-centric. While expanding, Bluedot's deepest integration remains Google Meet. Cross-platform support is improving but not yet at parity.

No IVR or call center support. Phone system data and IVR recordings cannot be ingested. Harmony supports any source — meetings, calls, IVR, and offline recordings.

Limited enterprise analytics. Bluedot focuses on transcription and note-taking rather than deep organizational conversation intelligence.

No conversation data lake. Like most competitors, Bluedot is an application, not infrastructure. Harmony gives you a unified data layer you own and pipe into your systems.

When to Choose Harmony

Bluedot is a good choice if bot-free recording and EU data hosting are your top priorities. When you need full conversation data infrastructure — source-agnostic ingestion, a conversation data lake, cross-team intelligence, AI model flexibility, and enterprise-grade certifications — Harmony is the platform-level solution.
